Sirius 2020

Sirius 2020 is a large circular form in mirror polished stainless steel by Czech sculptor Lukáš Rais, standing 220cm across. The polished surface returns the sky, the planting and the viewer, so the work reads differently depending on where you stand and what the light is doing. The circle stays constant while everything held in its surface changes.

Named for the brightest star in the night sky, Sirius has the scale to anchor a courtyard, a lawn or a commercial forecourt without needing anything else around it. The piece is made to order, so lead time should be allowed from the point of commissioning. A custom pedestal can be arranged separately if the setting calls for one.
