Three large interlinked rings, each 1.2 metres in diameter, rise to 2.8 metres in United, one of Lachlan Ross’s most recognised designs. The rings pass through one another without a visible beginning or end, a form that reads as connection, partnership and continuity. At this scale United holds an open courtyard, a landscaped approach or a commercial forecourt, and the interlocking geometry shifts as you move around it.
United is made to order in three materials, each giving the work a different character. Polished stainless steel is bright and reflective, carrying the sky and surrounding planting across its surface. Bronze can be finished in a range of patinas, from deep browns to verdigris greens, and will continue to develop over time. Corten steel weathers to a stable russet oxide that settles into gardens and natural landscapes.
