Moai Monolithic Statues
The Polynesian Colonists sculpted Moai between 1250 AD and 1500. These famous heads are located on Easter Island in Chile.

Michelangelo’s David
Few would not know the sculpture of David, a famous male nude by Michelangelo Buonarroti (known simply as Michelangelo), is located in Florence, Italy. Created between 1501 and 1504, the sculpture stands a tall 5.17 metres high and is crafted in marble.

Christ the Redeemer
One of the most recognisable sculptures worldwide, Paul Landowski’s Christ the Redeemer is located on the Corcovado Mountain in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. It is nearly 40 metres high.

Statue of Liberty
The copper statue located in New York City, The Statue of Liberty, sculpted by Frédéric Auguste Bartholdi, depicts a woman with a crown. It was designed as an icon of freedom and welcoming sight to immigrants visiting from abroad.

Venus de Milo
If you only know of one Greek sculpture, this one is likely it. Alezandros of Antioch created the Venus de Milo, which represents Aphrodite, a Greek beauty and love goddess, between 100 and 130 B.C. It is now located at the The Louvre Museum, Paris, France.

The Thinker
Auguste Rodin’s The Thinker was created between the late 1880s and early 1900s in bronze. It depicts Dante reflecting in front of the Gates of Hell.

The Sphinx
Sculpted in 2500 BC by the Pharaoh Khafre, the Sphinx is located in Giza, Egypt and is one of the world’s oldest and largest world statues.
