My Man’s Shirt is a contemporary lenticular photography artwork that turns an everyday garment into a loaded symbol. Set against a deep black background, the figure wears an oversized white button-up, crisp, masculine-coded, and deliberately unbuttoned, styled with lace thigh-highs that push the image into a fashion-editorial register. The contrast is immediate: purity and provocation, borrowed uniform and personal confidence, softness edged with control.
As you move past the artwork, the lenticular surface shifts the image, creating subtle changes in expression and attitude that make the portrait feel performative, like a scene changing under stage lights. Plaisance uses this animated effect to explore how identity can be tried on, borrowed, and reclaimed. The “men’s shirt” becomes more than clothing: it’s a postmodern prop that speaks to intimacy, ownership, and the way power can be rewritten through style.
Designed as statement wall art, My Man’s Shirt is collectible fine art photography for modern interiors, minimal in colour, high in impact, and rewarding to view from multiple angles through its changing lenticular effect.
