What Else is a contemporary lenticular photography artwork that reads like a couture portrait with a wink. Set against a deep black background, the figure is styled in a textured black mini dress and layered pearls, choker, long strands and bracelet details, finished with a chain-strap clutch. The look references classic Parisian glamour, but the expression is modern: calm, direct, and slightly amused, as if the subject is in on the viewer’s expectations.
As you move in front of the piece, the lenticular surface shifts the image, introducing subtle changes in attitude and presence that make the portrait feel staged, then destabilised, an artwork that performs. Plaisance uses this optical movement to explore luxury as language: how pearls, black fabric and accessories can operate like a uniform, and how identity can be curated, worn, and rewritten in real time.
Designed as statement wall art, What Else is collectible fine art photography for modern interiors, minimal in palette, rich in texture, and rewarding to view from multiple angles through its changing lenticular effect.
