Rose Frequency

Artist: Jeremy Kay

Jeremy Kay’s Rose Frequency layers rings of blush pink, lilac and pearl, cut through by sharp scarlet lines that read like a waveform pushed outward from a single red point at the centre. The soft rose frame holds the composition together and keeps the intensity contained.

The title is literal. The pattern comes directly out of Kay’s background in music and DJ culture, translating the shape of a pulse — the way sound radiates from a source and loses energy as it travels — into hundreds of individually tinted resin beads. Rhythm is the organising principle, not decoration.

Rose Frequency is among the most saturated and energetic works in the series. Backlit, the scarlet bands sharpen against the softer pinks behind them, giving the piece a genuine visual beat. A confident, joyful work for a space that can carry colour.
